[SOLVED] Where to download Microsoft flight simulator 2020?

I bought microsoft flight simulator 2020 from newegg.
I have the activation code, but there were no instructions on where or how to download the actual code.

When I go to microsoft store or to steam, the only option given is to buy the game.
I have already bought the game from newegg and paid for it.
I have the activation code.
I contacted newegg, and they referred me to microsoft.
I have spent the past two hours on the phone, getting bounces around from one clueless, almost unintelligible representative with no progress.
Still looking for a download address for the code.

I don't know about ms, but to enter those codes in steam you don't go to the page for the game, you open a menu at the top of your screen and click redeem code. MS store might be the same way

you go to the product page in the Microsoft Store
you scroll down to "Digital Ownership"
you click on it
next page that opens lets you enter your code

I got it figured out.
The email that newegg sent me only had instructions to redeem xbox live.
Only on the newegg description did it say redeem at microsoft,com/redeem
The code was essentially a gift code that looked exactly like a windows activation code.
Eventually, I did get it downloaded.
Some 95gb took forever.
