Hello everyone! :)
I recently bought a new m2 SSD that was in a good price range in my country. Its a WD green 1tb store. On my setup, I already have one m2 480gb and I also have one ssd sata 240gb (for my windows) and the old HD 2tb size (for all my junks). I know that I don't really need the last two storages, but if they are still working, I don't see why to get rid of them.
My motherboard is a gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite but since I'm not that great of an expert with hardware (just know the basics), I don't know how many slots and where I can install my new ssd. I think I'm gonna have to buy 1 adapter but I'm not sure.

you have 2 m.2 slots. one slot above each pcie slot.

i assume you have the 480gb drive in the first slot under the provided heatsink. the second will go into the slot right above the second m.2 slot. just drop it in, secure it with a screw and initialize it in disk management and you're good to go.

here's a pic of the 2 slots. second one is right above the black pcie slot. you can see the screw holes in the board to secure it.

ooooooooooooh I see it now! But is that truly a good spot? I mean, its right under the GPU and my GPU is a massive 3070ti lol Am I gonna be fine with the heat? Also, whats the best SSD to leave under the heatsink part (yes, my m2 was already there :)) my new one or the old one? The old one is a Corsair Force MP510 480GB and the new one its the WD green SN 350 1tb. I'm gonna be using both (I guess) for gaming. I play a lot of MMOs (WoW, ESO, GW2 and maybe FFXIV) so they are kinda big and with lots of loading screens so definetely gonna install them on my m2.

they are both low power drives so no real advantage for either one to be under the heatsink.

there should be enough air blowing in the case to keep the green drive cool enough. i've got 3 drives and 2 gpu's installed and none of them gets too hot.

you should be fine :)
