Where to put cables

This is my first build, and I have no clue of where to put any of my cables, motherboard I'm using: ASRock A320M-DGS, cables I have:
-H.D.DLED +-
-Reset SW
-Power LED -
-Power LED +
-Power SW
-AC'97
-HD Audio

I need someone to walk me through instelling this thing.

Look in your motherboard manual, it will tel you where to put and even show pictures.

Well, basically, I have all these installed, but there's one more cable that says VCC/D-/D+/GND/GND which I haven't seen in the manual

That is for the USB cable. What case are you working with?! That sort of pin out doesn't exist on today's cases.

My pc doesn't start. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong, do you mind walking me through?

First off; DON'T PANIC! 😉

It's common and you're most likely done what we've all done; either forgotten to connect a cable or connected one incorrectly.


Power down the system and remove the power cord.
Work through the motherboard manual, one page at a time and check each cable is connected correctly, don't rush, don't skip sections and work methodically.
Once you're sure every cable is exactly where it should be and is fully home, try again.
One point, those tiny front panel cables are easily dislodged or misconnected, I find it far easier to use tweezers to connect them and be sure to get the positive and negative the right way round.
