Hi guys, from my fans exit a wire that has a connector With four holes. But It Is not the usual connector With the guide of plastic. It has a unique plastic body.I have to connect that cable to the aura's connector of my Asus motherboard to Sync All?

Solution

The three pin connector is for power to the fan. If you havent connected it thats why it doesnt spin...LEt me recap my earlier post:

Cable 1 from the fan: 3 hole connector=POWER. Connect to the power header etc on the mobo (which will have 4 pins in case you have a fan with 4 pin connection for additional fan control).

These connects to numbers 2 page 16 in the manual

Cable 2 from the fan: 4 hole connector cable is for RGB (colors). One of the pins are for power and usually marked with an arrow or similar. When you connect these the marking showing the power pin always have to match the...
I have a coolermaster h500p.The problem Is that i have put that plug into the White connector of the mobo for Asus aura Sync.It has worked for a while and then nothing...i don't know

Youre not very detailed in your reply. Since the H500p comes with RGB fans I would assume that you have plugged those into the RGB header on the mobo and thats the cable you refer to?

With worked for a while you mean you could control the colors with Asus Aura? And when you write now nothing. What do you mean?

You have not told us for sure and the Cooler Master web page for that case is not clear either, but I'm pretty sure the fans supplied with it are plain RGB fans, not the ARGB type. So, on EACH fan there should be TWO cables. One will end in a THREE-pin fan female connector about 8 mm (3/8") wide with two ridges down one side. This is the fan motor connector, and it needs to be fed by a mobo header that uses the older Voltage Control Mode (aka DC Mode) in order to control its speed. Since you have three of these, connecting them all together to a single mobo fan header can be done with a SPLITTER but not with a HUB. It does not matter that your mobo male SYS_FAN or CHA_FAN headers all have 4 pins sticking up, the will fit on. BUT the header configuration needs to be set properly. Post back here the maker and exact model number of your mobo so we can give you precise instructions on that point.

From each fan, the other cable will end in a female wider connector with FOUR holes in a straight line, and this is for the RGB lighting components in the fan frame. To power and control them you need a mobo RGB header that has FOUR pins, NOT one with only three. With the mobo info I asked for above, we can make sure you use the right one. The case comes with an RGB Splitter cable that has female connectors on both ends and makes a single RGB connection into three for your three fans' RGB cables. That cable also comes with three adapters to convert the female outputs on its ends to male outputs that fit into the fans' RGB cable female connectors. So using the RGB Splitter and its adapters you can connect all three fans' RGB cables to a mobo single plain RGB (4-pin) male header. Then you must install the Aura Sync software on the CD that came with your ASUS mobo and use it to control the lighting units.

Thanks for the answare. My mobo Is Asus TUF z370 gaming plus.I have connected the four PIN connector of the fans to the adapter of the case and then the adapter to the four White PIN connector on the motherboard where There Is written RGB.It doesn't work. The fans don't spin and don't show light.I have also Tried to put the fans' cable directly to the mobo but nothing.i have noticed that on the fans There Is written grb and no RGB.Is that mean something?

As I said, each fan has TWO separate cables. ONE (with a 3-hole fan connector) is for the fan moto. The other (with a wider 4-hole connector) is for the RGB lighting unit in the fan. You say you have connected the four-pin connectors together using some "adapter of the case" to the white RGB header on the mobo near top front. And at one time they worked, but not now. Examine all the connections from fan to adapter to mobo header. It is important that they be plugged in turned the right way. Each connector probably has a mark on it for the pin (or hole) for the 12 VDC power, and those all must match up at each connection point. Then you must have teh Aura Sync software utility (on the mobo's CD) installed and use that to control the lighting.

Completely separate from those lighting cables, each fan has a motor cable ending in a 3-hole female connector, I believe. Your last question may provide a clue. Any cable marked RGB is for the lighting system and needs to go to the mobo RGB header though the adapter. Any fan cable NOT marked RGB probably is the fan MOTOR cable and needs to be connected using the Splitter to your only CHA_FAN header. If your fans are not rugning at all, check all the connections between fans, Splitter and mobo header. You actually have two CHA_FAN headers - one near the front right above the RGB header, and one near the back about half way down the mobo. Whichever one you have the fan motors plugged into, check in BIOS Setup (see p. 3-3 of mobo manual and click on the fan block at bottom centre of the screen) and choose that CHA_FAN header, Make sure it is configured to use Normal automatic speed control, that it is using the DC Mode (not PWM Mode) to control your 3-pin fans, and IF there is a choice, set it to use the temperature sensor on the mobo, not the one inside the CPU chip. After you make any changes, be sure to use the SAVE and EXIT options to get out of Setup and save your new settings.

Ok,so if i have understood well,i have to Attack the four Holes connector and the Three PIN connector toghether? On the four Holes connector There Is a triangole on it

NO!

When you connect these the marking showing the power pin always have to match the marking on the one you connect to!

These connects to number 5 page 16 in the manual. Look at page 24 for details on how to plug it in correctly. Section 1-10

I have Tried to Attack the four hole connector to the RGB fan header and nothing,no spin,no RGB.I have tried to plug the connector in both the sides but nothing. No spin no RGB.How Can i test the connector on the mobo?

The four hole connector is only for the RGB connection. It doesnt power the fan itself.

Where did you plug in the three hole connector?

Your fan do have two cables coming from each fan, right? They should...
