A molex cable is only designed to carry 132 watts.
The 8 pin connector for a video card is designed to carry 150 watts.

If you use an adapter to go from molex to 8 pin video card connector, and the card starts pulling a full 150 watts, over time, the connector may overheat.

I hope that you purchased white replacement cables that were specifically designed to replace the cables that would normally be used with a fully modular power supply. If your power supply is not fully modular, then I would not recommend using extension cables to do what you are attempting to do.
Well I dropped them an email and I got an automatic response saying they have received it, So I will keep you updated on what they say,

Also can anyone help me find a white sata extension from a trusted and popular store? I'm in uk and struggling to find one!

There are no standards on the connectors on the power supply itself. So each company has designed their own connectors, and often, they use different connectors for different models of their own power supplies.

I suspect there are more than a few companies that have come up with their own connectors, maybe even multiple sets of unique connectors, at varying prices, and the power supply companies buy the ones they are willing to pay for for each model design.

Here is a site I've seen but never used before - CoolerKit.com. All the prices are in Euros and it looks like they have all the white, sleeved cable extensions you need. They are NZXT brand too, which is a name brand.

It looks like they carry the same cables by BitFenix as well. Looks legit, good luck!

Hey and thanks for your replies, after looking at everything all I can find is white molex to sata, I can find sata to sata extensions but not in white at all, also thank you for pointing out the one that costs euros but I'd rather buy in GBP,

Is it really bad to use molex to Sata? What's the chance of it working? Also can it damage components?

Also, I got a reply from EVGA and all they said was that they do not do them and there may be third party ones but they don't have any specific ones to recommend. They also said with any psu, adding third party cables can damage components, how accurate is this?

I have a Corsair PSU with BitFenix extensions and have noticed no changes. I've had the PSU for 4 years and the extensions for 1 year. As mentioned above I have a lot of powered devices including, 6x SATA, 2x 8-pin PCI-E, 24-pin motherboard, 8-pin CPU and 2x 4-pin MOLEX fans.

But, the choice is completely up to you!

I think I am going to have to go for the Molex to SATA option and keep my fingers crossed as its the only option I can find in the UK,

Also while I'm here, What is the best way to connect more fans if your MB doesn't have enough slots?

They make fan-to-molex adapters. I use 2 of them. Be aware that fans connected to 4-pin molex run at 100% so they can get noisy. A lot of nicer fans come with a voltage step down cable which will limit the RPM for quieter running.
