Which 144Hz monitor should I purchase?

I was previously going to purchase an AOC G2460FQ monitor, but I noticed that it didn't say "TRUE 144Hz" like some of the other monitors, I had a quick Google and found that this monitor does not produce 120/144 fps, it skips every second frame and only produces 60, how can this even be allowed to be sold as a 144hz monitor?

So my new choices are:

■ BenQ XL2411Z (£199.99)
■ ASUS VG248QE (£214.97)
■ Acer Predator GN246HLBbid (£214.99)

I've heard that the BenQ is the best, but some say it has an annoying ghosting issue, would this ghosting be worse than my current 60hz panel? The Asus seems to be even worse for it but some people disagree with that too.

Does anyone have any experience with these monitors? I don't believe I'll use Lightboost or anything similar as it adds input lag and any extra input lag bothers me.

Thanks for your time :)

Actually I believe the ASUS panel is the best out of the three. It competes with BenQ monitors that are of higher quality than the one you provided. I had three of them and they were excellent. I have no experience whatsoever with that Acer panel however. Especially considering it's the same price as the VG248QE, I'd have to say the ASUS is the king.

What you have heard about Benq is very true i bought one - returned it and currently using VG248QE[8 months] and by all means am very happy with it - i'ld very definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the replies guys, the Asus wasn't in stock when I needed to order it unfortunately, so I went with the BenQ and I don't regret a thing, I've had no ghosting or anything (I don't use lightboost as flickering bothers me, as well as input lag). I haven't got the colours quite right yet but I'm not too worried about trying to get it right, it's close enough 😛
