Hi there! Ok so I've trawled through a lot of reviews, and as you can imagine am now competely lost as to which monitor fits me best!

I am an animator that uses my pc for the a wide variety of tasks:

3D animation (Max/Maya/XSI)
Video Editing and Movies
2D image processing (Photoshop)
Playing Games (predominantly FPS)
Doc writing and web browsing

So that's about everything, which means I need a good allrounder. I need a minimum size of 20" with 1600x1200 res and don't want to go to wide screen format.

I've narrowed down the list based on budget to the following:

Viewsonic VP2030B (£383.49) <- this is a bit over my budget!
Samsung Syncmaster 204B (£279.00)
LG L2000C-BF (£267.74)
NEC MultiSync LCD2070VX (£300.10)
HP LP2065 (£298.38)
Dell UltraSharp 2007FP (£258.49)

So can someone tell me if these are good enough and which one would be best? Theoretically of course, I haven't managed to see any of these first hand and would obviously need to before buying, but it would help if I can narrow down the selections, or perhaps be told of ones I have missed from this list. Cheers in advance!

Thanks Kevin!

After some more digging I found out that the Dell UltraSharp 2007FP is S-IPS or S-PVA depending on panel model (LG/Phillips LTM201U05 and Samsung LTM201U1 respectively).

The HP LP2065 is S-IPS.

Is there any other monitor I might consider? Bear in mind that I don't mind about viewing angles as I'm only interested on how it looks when I'm on the comp, so I'll be viewing it straight on all the time. Also, as I work in the games industry, I do play a lot and want to make sure that I'm not making any sacrifices here!

At least you've narrowed down the list so now I can check out both these two monitors and see what they're like first hand.
