The G1 is the fastest card Gigabyte offers outside of the extreme. But as i said above, the fact that it has more than 3 times as many extremely dissatisfied owners (1 egg newegg ratings) compared to the comparable MSI should give you pause. Not saying "don't do it" ... but ask yourself why is it that 3 times as many folks are so unhappy with their purchase. I'd peruse those user reviews and see if you can live with the issues they raising.
Performance - MSI and Gigabyte routinely break 1500 MHz in the reviews, the others don't.

Reliability - MSI Gaming (6%), Asus Strix (8%), and even EVGA SC (7%) have about the same number of extremely dissatisfied users, hovering between 6 and 8% 1 egg reviews ; Gigabyte Windforce (20%) has been in the low 20s.

When 1 in 5 users are so disappointed in their purchase that they give the card the lowest possible rating (1 egg) .... that is certainly cause for alarm.

Components / Cooling - Gigabyte wasn't in the article but the other 3 are compared here:

To get the "skinny" on why one card outperforms the oithers, read pages 2 - 4 of the article, especially the bottom third.

Temperature - MSI comes in at 66C overclocked / Asus @ 72C / EVGA @ 74C

MSI and Asus also turn off the fans when not needed....MSi goes a step further in controlling the 2 fans independently.

Thanks! But windforce or G1 ?
