Which 990fx motherboard for OCing an 8320E

Which is the best bang for the buck OCing board?
If I asked which is the best for OCing, I would assume sabertooth.
I'm leaning towards the MSI 990FXA because of the color scheme and cheap price. Have seen a few reviews of decent OC's achieved on it, but not a lot of info tbh.

Motherboard tier list sticky on here doesn't have the 990fxa ranked, so that's mostly why I'm asking.

I have a Sabertooth v1 and it's been great for nearly six years... 2011 buy. OC'd a 6350 to 4.29 for three years now on a $30 Zalman. Never a problem allowing the auto-overclock to do it's thing. I'm sure I could push that more but no need. I love the board and it's connectivity. I am sure v2 boards, although the same price they were in 2011, are better yet. Get good RAM, if you don't have some to move over.

His posted Sabertooth in the link is a REVISION 3 , which are hard to find in some places , very rare.

I have an FX-8320E in one of my PCs with a Gigabyte GA-990FX-UD5 R5 and it only clocks 100 Mhz higher than a crappy GA-78LMT-USB3 that I used to have (4.4 Ghz vs 4.3 Ghz). Unless you intend on water cooling to extract the very highest possible overclock it really doesn't matter which of the 990FX boards on the market you get. They're all going to top out a run-of-the-mill FX-8320E at about the same speed on air. Its very dependent on the individual chip how high you can go (and my is pretty leaky). Is there any reason why you're getting a 990FX board vs. a 970? Do you need two x16 PCI-E lanes for SLI? If you do I'd just go with the best low price 990FX motherboard - the GA-990FX-UD3 R5. You can usually pick them up for around $105-$110 US. Your max overclock won't be tremendously different with that vs. a much more expensive Sabertooth. Otherwise, if you don't need SLI I'd just get an ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura. It has a very solid, high quality power delivery set up and is going for about $100 these days.

The Gigabyte GA-990FX-UD3 R5 has the exact same power phases as the 990FX Gaming and goes for about $20 less. For less than $110 its the best bang for the buck 990FX board.
