Cleeve's right, while I think PCI is always a bad choice for primary monitor (but great for triple and above) in a NEW CARD, in this case the power of the Rage 128 isn't enough to make up the diff. Even the first Radeon (really what we are talking about) isn't enough to stress that. An R9000 PCI will still be better than an old RageFury on AGP simply because the diff. can't be made up by bus speed since the card doesn't use much more. Just like an R9800 on a 4X board still kills an R9600 on an 8X board, despite having the wide path to go down. It just isn't used.
Question; is this an upgrade issue for you, or a choice between the two. If you are upgrading TO the Xpert from the Radeon AIW pci don't bother, your current card is better and save the money until you can buy a proper replacement. And sell the AIW because people are ALWAYS looking for them for media-boxes (I just gave one to a friend for that very purpose). If you are chosing these for replacement for another current card then DON'T the money is better spent on other card.
Since you said you bought it a while back I'd say stick with the Radeon AIW. Then buy something at the end of the summer or fall when you really need it. If something isn't playing on the AIW right now it's not going to be better on the Xpert. Like 'daddy..' said you need the R8500 to really make it worth a new purchase. Same goes for R9000/9100/9200, etc.
