Which brand for r9 290??

Hey guys i'm looking for r9 290 . Here are 3 brands available at my place.

I wanted to know which brand has the quietest and coolest r9 290.And has a good progress.

Asus easily, you have referenced two (Gigabyte and sapphire) stock cooled models, NEVER get them, they run up to 94 degrees Celsius! and sound that small fan is always running at High RPM, making it a very noisy card. The Asus DCUII is much quieter and never goes above 75 degrees, best choice by miles, defiantly worth the price difference.

Sapphire R9 290 Tri-x. Thats by far the best from the 290s.

not true, the Asus is quieter and has much better heat dissipation due to it's direct GPU contact.

As i've remember the test which were made here on TH, the tri-x was the clear winner.

clear winner, don't know what review your looking at, most of the reviews have declared the Asus the winner, the reason being the fins on the Tri-X are vertical so the rear exhaust vents basically do nothing, making the temperature slightly hotter then the Asus.

The Tri-X also doesn't have quiet ball bearings in the fan, making it louder.

I have a Gigabyte R9 290X Windforce 3X OC, great card and the cooler offers surprising performance, I will recommend it to you, as i have the same cooler, and it never goes above 74 degrees. I got mine because the cost was much less compared to others.

Thanks mate what about the noise . Its the main factor for me . is it quiet as compared to the asus one ?

noise is actually very minimal, I am very impressed with it.

You will only hear it slightly above 60%, above 75% it is bearable but a bit too load for my liking, it is quite quiet for my liking, but compared to the Asus, not as quiet, but it is still very good.
