I have an MSI GTX 970 Gaming GPU (and will probably get another quite soon).
I am planning to also get a 27" 144Hz monitor.
Looking at the specs for both, it seems the best option is to use the Display Port connector. However, the stats on the MSI page seem to suggest that there is a maximum output frequency of 60Hz. Is this nonsense? Im assuming they wouldn't just cap the cards output fps because most monitors still cant handle it? But I do want to be sure before I fork out such a big wad of cash.
