Which chair is better?

Op, there's thousand of decent chairs out there. Best advice I can give is this. Decide how long you'll spend any amount of time actually sitting in one, be it 1hr or 8hrs etc. Then get yourself down to a store that deals with office supplies/furniture etc. And start sitting in the chairs. Office chairs are rated at basically butt print per hour, some are good for a constant 4hrs, some 6hrs, some as much as 12hrs. So if you figure the most time you'll constantly spend in the chair is about 4 hrs tops, you can go with almost every chair they have. Sit in them, see what feels right for your butt, your back, the armrests etc. Even if you end up with a £300 choice, that chair will last for years, 10 or more easily and £30 a year honestly is...

It is impossible for anyone else to tell what might fit you.
If someone here had that exact chair, and it fits them perfectly....their hip width is not yours. Their shoulder width is not yours.

I have a DX Racer. It fits ME very well. It would not fit my son. It might fit one of my daughters, but not the other two.

you are giving us 2 options.

I dont have any trust into some chinese rebranded dx/ak racing chairs.
And like USA sais chair a doesn't fit need to fit person A or B.

and if your dont like this forum i suggest you to look elsewhere.

Looks exactly like my granddaughters car seat....

Honestly. I'd buy neither. Racing looking chairs might be snazzy looking, but are absolutely useless for long term comfort and support. A plain-Jane ergonomic office chair has a lot more to offer your back and butt after an hour of intense gaming.

+1 for ergo chairs. I suggest you find a good ergonomics forum. If you can afford to spend a bit of time and a bit more money, you can get many years of pain-free comfort. I'm still using a Steelcase ergo chair from > 10 years ago. But, if you take your time, you surely don't even have to spend that much for something that'll last a while and serve you well.

IMO, the only reason for racing chairs is if you're into Simulations and need a non-office chair (i.e. non-swiveling) that you can use with a set of pedals.

You mean a £1000 plain chair vs a £100 pound racing chair.

£1000 ergo? Where you shopping? I walked into a Staples in 1998 and got a really comfy chair (they had close to 50 chairs to try out) and spent a whopping $150 (@£100). Still had that chair upto 2 years ago when the cats finally figured out what the armrests were for. The new chair ($99 at Staples or £70ish) I just spent 9 hours binge gaming in and feel no different than when I started. No legs numb, no back pain, no neck pain etc. It's the most supportive and comfortable seat in the house. I'd rather watch TV sitting in it than on the couch.

So no, £1000 is BS, pure and simple.

Do you know any links to a good ergo chair that is cheap?

I've known ppl to buy wireless keyboard and mouse, just so they can sit in their lazyboy recliners. I could easily recommend brand X, Y, Z as being the best, and maybe they are but if after a half hour of gaming it feels like you are sitting on a pile of bricks, best really means nothing.

It's all about what's good for you and your butt, not mine or anyone else's, you'll need to see just what's comfortable for you.

A few years ago, I got what I thought was a very comfy chair, from OfficeMax. Maybe $150.
Big, plush, microfiber...basically 1/3 of a couch.
Very comfortable.

However....

Whatever it was made out of was still outgassing VOC. Sit in it for any length of time, and a noticeable funk.
Once I figured out what it was...I gave it a couple more weeks. Had other people sit in it to see if they noticed.

2 months later, it was still there.
Bye bye stinky chair, hello DX Racer.
