Hi, going for an upgrade, stuck at the motherboard selection.
I really can't find info on the various chipsets available.

nForce 570 Ultra or SLI vs GeForce 6100 / nForce 430.

The motherboards (Gigabyte and Asus) that come with them cost mostly the same so it is unclear to me which is the superior one and which just has some bells and whistles on it.

I won't actually be using any SLI (the video card is an ATI) or the on board 6100 GPU.

In case it matters the MoBos I found are the Asus M2N-E, the GA-M61P-S3 and the GA-M57SLI-S4.

Thanks!

edit : should have paid more attn go with the GA-M57SLI-S4 since you've already got the video card but take a look at the board i linked too it's sale with a deal on amd processor purchase
i just upgraded to a 6000 on this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186098
but i put my old x2 3800 on the GA-M57SLI-S4 for mom and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. i not a fan of on board video but if you decide go that way find one of the nforce 5 motherboards with it and a pcie 16x slot (520's i think)

I'm getting a Radeon x1950 PRO. I won't be using the on board GPU any more than I'll be using the SLI. I'm just asking which is the better chipset among the two...

EDIT: Just saw your edit. I live in Greece so no neweggs for me I'm afraid...

So the M57SLI-S4 is better than the Asus?

six one way or a half dozen the other. i prefer gigabyte over the asus but you won't really go wrong either way. the asus may overclock a little better but there isn't much room for that with the 6000 anyway. good luck with your build
