Which component should I upgrade?

Hi all,

I am looking to upgrade my pc - I play Ark Survival, and Player Unknown Battlegrounds amongst other things, and I would like to increase my performance, so everything runs more smoothly. I have money to spend, but not endlessly which is why, I prefer, if possible to just replace one component, which would a considerable improvement to run games smoothly.

My components are the following:
Motherboard: Gigabity, Z77X-UD5H
CPU: Intel i5-3570K @ 3,4 gb
RAM: 2x8 gb ddr3 (g.skill ripjaw)
GPU: msi r7970 lightning 3 gb

Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Which GPU you have?
you have 3rd Gen CPU if you want to change the CPU you have to change the Motherboard and ram too

well your GPU is okay but kind of Old you can upgrade the GPU to 1060@6GB but in some games its gonne be bottleneck due to the CPU
