Question Which components should I get for a music production PC with an i9-13900k?

Hey there!

Right now I'm using an ASUS laptop with an i7 9750h, but it's kinda falling short for what I need performance-wise. I wanna build a PC just for music production. I'm thinking of going for an i9-13900k with 16 or 32 gigs of RAM and a 2TB SSD. Any recommendations for a motherboard? What cooling system should I go for with this CPU? Which case should I get? And what power supply do I need? I'm not into anything fancy for gaming since I don't play any games or edit videos. I don't need an expensive GPU, and I think the integrated graphics in the i9-13900k should be more than enough. Thanks a bunch for your help!

What software are you looking to use?

32GB is the minimum I would recommend for new builds.

I would not consider water cooling for a system that you intend to do work with. A large air cooler is the way to go. Though I do recognize that the Intel chips require a lot more cooling to reach their high clock speeds, so it might be wiser to look at a non-K processor, i7-13700, 13900 may be out of stock. Not sure if the 14900 is ever going to make an appearance.

13900k is a fast processor when it comes to single threaded tasks, but it is rather expensive. 14700k would be a cheaper option with only a 200Mhz loss on stock boost clocks and only 4 fewer E-cores.

Also Ryzen 7950X to consider with 16 full cores with SMT. (32 threads)
