I am considering building a new PC, using some of the parts i already have, but buying a new processor and graphics card. I will be using things like my ram (6gb, but might upgrade to 8gb), my hard drive and others. At the minute, i have my eye on two processors and two graphics cards, but i dont know which to choose.

The Processors:
1. AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz)
2. AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor (4.0/4.2GHz)
Option 1 is cheaper, but is it worth paying extra for two more cores?

The Graphics Cards:
1. AMD Sapphire Radeon R7 265 2GB
2. Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti
They are both roughly around the same price, but i am not sure which is best.

This PC will be used to play games such as Battlefield and Grand Theft Auto, but which CPU and GPU should i buy?
Thanks in advance, Joel.

[EDIT] I am strongly considering going for processor 1, and graphics card 2, simply because of cost, but i am still seeking the expert advice from the experts of TomsHardware, and my opinion can be changed.

I would seriously reconsider that case choice. No case with an 80mm exhaust fan should ever be used with a modern gaming card. Also, the PSU that's going to come with that case is guaranteed to fail. I GUARANTEE it will fail with a gaming card. That case model is so obscure and old I've never even heard of it before, and I'm familiar with just about every brand out there, even regional brands like iBall in India. You do NOT want to spend your money on that. It might be cheap, but that's exactly what you're going to get. Cheap crap. And you'll be extremely lucky, if you do use it, if it doesn't destroy either your motherboard, graphics card, or something else. That's not hype. That's fact. Take a read just to familiarize yourself with...
Scrap the 4gb of Ram as well, you likely will not be able to pair them properly, get a 8gb kit. (2X4) That way you dont run into Ram conflicts. I think DDR3 Ram is getting cheaper. You wont need over 8gb.

Don't be surprised when your cheap PSU blows up: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/low-cost-psu-pc-power-supply,2862.html

You want a PSU that is AT LEAST a Tier 3 unit at the following link, and a Tier 1 or 2 unit is what is recommended for any gaming card or overclocked system:

This is the least expensive AMD FX configuration I'd recommend going with that won't end up being a total waste of your money in the end. The old adage that you get what you pay for is particularly applicable to buying computer hardware and components. If you don't get something at least reasonably acceptable, you might as well not get anything at all because that's what you're going to be stuck with after your hardware fails. And believe me, it will.

Thank you for the response, but i do not need to buy RAM, i have 8GB of Ballistix RAM that i have been given by a neighbor. Also, i want to get the EVGA GTX 750, as this tops the Geforce one, so because of this i am going for the motherboard that i already have. Finally, why does the case matter? I really have no care for how my case looks, as it will spend its time under my desk. Fair enough a decent power supply is needed, but the case shouldnt matter?

Also, what is the difference between 'Fixed Cables' and 'Semi-Modular Cables? I am looking at a different PSU, because i want a high wattage just in case, but i dont know whether i need fixed or semi modular? In fact, i dont even know what this means.
Here is the PSU: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009RMP44O/ref=twister_B00I5LYCI2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I think i am all sorted now, i have decided to go with these parts:
PSU: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009RMP44O/ref=twister_B00I5LYCI2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 (Semi-Modular)
GPU: http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487024
CPU: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-FD6300WMHKBOX-FX-6300-Processor-Edition/dp/B009O7YORK/ref=sr_1_1?tag=skim0x3152-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1413064839&sr=8-1&keywords=fx+6300
CASE: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Carbide-Series-SPEC-01-CC-9011050-WW/dp/B00I6BJATW/ref=sr_1_1?tag=skim0x3152-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1403331171&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+spec+01
MOBO: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-970A-DS3P-Motherboard-Socket-Express/dp/B00CX4MUCC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382885378&sr=8-1&keywords=Gigabyte+GA-970A-DS3P

This in total comes to £340. Will this pc run GTA V well at decent settings, with 8GB RAM?

[EDIT] I might go with the case you suggested actually, its cheaper 😀

How much are both of these? I want to keep the cost down as low as possible, due to other things going on for me this year? Ideally, i want no less than 600W, so i can upgrade it, without the need for a PSU, thats why i chose this one, as it is cheap and has decent wattage

Edit: That didn't go as planned, this is in response to themeaney

The difference between Fixed and Modular is that the Modular ones can be removed from the PSU so that you do not have the Madussa effect of excess cables dangling from the PSU. The cables have Male and Female ends or both Male, one end plugs into the PSU the other the component.

Enjoy making your PC, it gets addictive.
