I found a laptop and a desktop on Craigslist for 155/175. I don't care about mobility so that shouldn't be a factor. I just hate going to the library to print out my essays. I need something that can write essays, steam videos, do some light gaming (Cs:Go/Minecraft), and won't lag a lot. I had an ancient pc in the past but it broke down so I don't have that much experience in cpu speed and ram.
The Desktop has 8gb ram installed and its $175

The laptop which is $155

The HP Pavilion g6-2225nr Notebook PC which I'm using right now is pretty decent for gaming, and definitely can handle your needs.

Bad reviews on Amazon because they are used, but I bought mine brand spankin new in a Kmart that was closing so if you find this bad boy it's definitely a keeper.

One more thing I wanted to mention is that it runs well with 4gb RAM(I had it for three years before upgrade), but I would definitely recommend a 8gb upgrade that I recently got installed, it's even more responsive and gaming got a little...
