If you're never going to add a discrete GPU and don't care that you don't have any upgrade options, the 7860k is a better deal on its own. However, with the i3 you get a slightly faster CPU, a decent iGPU (not as fast as the AMD), and the option to upgrade to an i5 or i7 in the future if you need to. In addition, the i3 will be a much better CPU if you choose to add a discrete GPU in the future. The FM2 platform is essentially dead, but it's fine if you are in the situation that I described in the first sentence. Otherwise I'd get the i3.
