Which CPU is best?

Ignoring the price, which of these two would be the best choice for gaming and overclocking?

AMD FX-8370E
AMD FX-8320

When I looked at both CPU's, my first thought was that in the end, both of these CPU's would end up almost in a tie.

So I went looking for a head to head comparison. And CPUBoss filled the order.

Pretty much up and down the line, these CPU's perform very similarly. Then I looked at CPU-World...

from just looking at the specs on newegg from the links provided the AMD FX-8370E seems to be the best out of the two. 1 it clocks higher in turbo mode and 2 it has a lower voltage which will keep the CPU cooler

They're both the exact same chip and both can overclock to around the same level. Ignoring price the FX 8370E is better simply because it has higher clocks by default.

The "e " skus are low power variants that probably behave differently to save power .
Expect the e models to throttle back earlier and up slower . I cant confirm that but Im sure I would be designing the firmware that way

I would buy the FX 8320

FX 8370E for sure. Slightly better architecture can go a long way.
