ps4 cpu is a 8 core jaguar amd cpu but clocked at only 1.9 to 2 ghz in actual sense can it give better performance than my higher clocked intel core i3 2120 cpu @ 3.30 ghz which has (2 cores and threads 4)

go for intel i3 ! it should have better integer performance single thread passmark. plus R7 265 to outperform PS4 / Xbox one.

Excellent cpu! acdg to reviews and blogs, PS4 and Xbox one have hd7770 / hd7870 for GPU. I'm a big fan of PSN , and I go online with my ps3 every now and then.

No. You need to upgrade to a Decent i5 cpu, Better video card ( At least a R9 280x or Gtx 770), Mobo for the the i5.
Anew quality gaming PSU,tier 1 or 2. Pretty much a full upgrade. That is for 1080p. Bigger upgrade for 1440p.

Sorry I missed the 768p. Maybe. Maybe not. If you can get an I5 youll be better off.

my i3 beats ps4 cpu according to http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i3-2120+%40+3.30GHz i3 2120 average cpu mark is 3866 and its 778 more than ps4 and overall mark is 441 whih is also high thn ps one
so ps4 cpu are no where match with intel core i3 2120 3.3 ghz this cpu is so eficient that it can run any next gen games with ease at 60+ fps and ps4 cant even reach that performance despite having only 2 cores its hyperthreaded and single threaded performance is much better than ps4 ones . Actually in real sense ps4 cpu is a 8 core low end apu which clocked lower because it will last several years and slow x86 8 core amd jaguar cant handle that much clock speeds actually it is on per with intel mobility atom processor and desktop cpus are far more advance and powerful in performance

Try PCMARK or 3DMARK, it's not about games and rank, it's all about numbers.

Since I support PSN, Playstation network is a controlled environment -- like racing on a circuit with rules and specs ( we know that driving too fast and too furious would not lead us to fast and furious 8 ) .

PSN also have network boost and bandwidth redistribution for online gamers.

PC's are like drifting --- fast and furious 3, it's more on style, speed and control.
