Which CPU should I buy?

I am from India.I have an i3-2100 dual core CPU and an intel DH61HO motherboard at present.While playing GTA 5 and Assassins Creed Syndicate I noticed a slutter after playing for about 40 minutes.So I decided to change my CPU.But I am in a bit of confusion.My friend has an Asrock 960GM-GS3 FX but his cpu is not better than my i3.So he wants my i3 and my Intel mobo in exchange for his Asrock mobo that can support amd fx 6300 and fx 8320e.I am in a bit of confusion whether I should take his mobo and buy an fx 6300(or fx 8320e) or upgrade both my mobo and CPU after some time or just upgrade my CPU while keeping the same motherboard(Intel DH61HO).But the thing is If I am upgrading my CPU only while keeping the same MOBO I don't know which one to choose.Please help me out.What should I do? My budget for the whole process is Rs 20000.

A gen 3 i5 should last you a few more years, a gen 2 i5 is still a valid gaming cpu. I moved from a gen 2 to gen 4 and cpu wise cant tell the difference.


In no way would i ever trade off an intel build for an AMD one, but thats just me.

Keep yours; get an i5-2500/3570 or i7-2600/3770.
