i have a problem with my amd a8-5600k apu where if i play games my pc randomly reboots. i think its the cpu thats overheating and the pc is shutting down to save itself. thing is i am getting different readings everywhere bios says 53c at idle , hwmonitor says around 65-70c idle, core temp and openhardware monitor show around 15-20c. none of these temps are normal but which one should i trust?
EDIT: i have the stock cpu cooler and ONLY 1 exhaust case fan. i am planning to put 2 more case fans in but not sure about the cpu cooler as this problem only showed up recently.

Solution
Bios and hw monitor are probably both right at the bios screens it peobably is 53 but warms up when loading windows. I would highly suspect your cooler is not properly installed. Either it is loose, paste is dry, or not plugged into cpu fan header. Case airflow helps but 2 case fans will not bring you from a 70c idle to being able to game

looks like hwmonitor is correct. i recently redownloaded it bcuz i wasnt getting the CPUTIN temp reading only package temp (which is socket temp if im not mistaken) and CPUTIN reads 52c so yea ill check the cooler and maybe even replace it and still add the case fans because i wanna be safe in the future.
