no reviews of DDR-266 as yet, but the AMD 760 chipset looks fast, but we have to wait for more manufacturers making DDR chipsets (count out intel for the time being), notably VIA Apollo Pro266 and AliMagik 1 (dont count SiS either), I guess the later two would be better than the AMD 760 although reviews show the other way round. ALi chipset is a tad better that it supports both standard PC66/PC100/133 as well as DDR266.
Well, right now cost is the major issue over performance since the difference in latter is only small, while cost differencial is outrageous. Besides, P4 does not perform to its expectations (until it is on its homeground of sse2 optimised software), so intel ramping up clock speeds wont affect AMD since its cost is its key card. AMD says it wont increase the athlon clock speed until Q2 2k1. still Athlons will compete well against 1.5-1,6-1.7 GHz P4s.
