of cource the 5930k is the better CPU, but it depends on how much money you have, and what you want to do with your system. also, are you building a new system or just upgrading to x99?

I'm building a new Sabertooth X99 LGA 2011 v3 to be used for mainly business and studies...but also for some video work.

do you have a parts list planned? if not, do you have a cirtin budget, so I can help you getting the best build you can get for the moeny?

I'm working on the list right now....it's for a client that has a pretty big budget. His previous build (that's about 5 years old and dead now) was a Sabertooth X58 with an I7 950 and 12 gigs of tri-channel DDR3 with an EVGA 9800GTS GPU. He's going with the EVGA 770 GTX 4GB FTW because he want's to run two other monitors besides his 30" NEC. (about a $2100 monitor at the time of purchase)
if he need a basic internet and occasional video edit, he doesnt need anything than the intel core i7 4790k. 4 hyper-threaded overclockable cores is probably what any normal man will need.
You'd think so. But he's taking some pretty heavy graphics classes in college and he basically wore out his first Asus Sabertooth LGA 1366 set up I guilt him. Now time for a deeper case to accommodate the even larger cooler he's going to need for this one. He's quite the mutlitasker as well. I was thinking the 5820 cpu might be fine for him, but he has the extra money and he wants this computer to last as long as the last one did. (a bit over 5 years....I think).
