Does anyone know of a utility program or a raid controller that allows you to identify which hard drive in a RAID 5 array has failed when failure is indicated by error messages in windows? Windows doesn't seem to be much help as it sees a RAID 5 array as a single drive.
I don't have a separate raid card. It's a feature of the mb (Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark1)
And the bios only supports SMART which says the discs are all fine.
(Windows 7 Pro running a 1TBx3 RAID 5 array)
