Hi tomshardware,
I've figured I could split a 3 pin slot and a 4 pin slot with a cable or hook my case fans up to my PSU, so there is no limitation in case fans. I was wondering how many fans I should add to my CM 690 III non window case. The case comes with a 200mm front and a 120mm rear.
I was thinking of adding two Corsair AF120 Performance Editions on the top of the case. I could also opt for Scythe Slip streams 1200 rpm which is much more budget friendly. Should I also add a fan on the side of the case or on the bottom of the case? I'd like to know how many I should place where, and whether I should opt for the AF120s or the Slip Streams. I can get 4 Slip Streams (6,50 EUR each) for the price of two AF120s (15 EUR each), but the 7V cable that comes included with the AF120 appeals to me. I have very little knowledge about case fans, optimal air flow, positive and negative pressure, airflow vs static pressure, etc.
