which geforce2 mx ?

I'm gonna be buying a new g-card soon, after christmas sometime and i've got it down to the abit siluro geforce2 mx and the asus v7100 geforce2 mx,

any thoughts or other suggestions?

yeah... I just got the asus v7100 and its great and all. But now I'm having probs with windows ME loading really slowly(hardrive works constantly)Why?

Anyone with any sugestions please reply

All the MX cards are the same, just made by different companies. Shoot for the cheapest.

I agree, I have the Aopen Geforce2MX and with the new det3 drivers, it rocks, only problem is, WinME doesnt like the Nvidia drivers. Original drivers work fine. For JayJay, run msconfig and turn off the RESTORE Function. ME likes to back up from your HD, this causes significant slowdown. Hope this helps. d:^)

BUY THE ABIT !!!! it is far much superior than the others, b'cose the memory chipos on the card are far much smaller for the same Mb then any other graphic card, and so preforming much better and running much cooler.

If you don't plan to o/c it, i'd suggest you to go for the cheapest one because they are all pretty much the same. If you do plan to o/c it, then look for the ones with 5.5ns memory.

my system is running WinME and NV det. driver.
no prob. at all.
however, some earily rev. of det.3 driver have prob.
v6.31 is great.
