Which gigabit router shout I get?

I'm trying to figure out the most reliable gigabit router. Should I go for the ASUS Dual-Band Wireless-AC3100 Gigabit Router (RT-AC88U) or the ASUS (RT-AC68U) Wireless-AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit Router?
I'm really trying to get the most reliable one. We had a TP-LINK AC1750 that stopped working after a few months. I've read some bad reviews on the ASUS ones but they're most positive ratings (4.3 stars on both). Price is not an issue so what do you guys think? Do you have any experiences with these ASUS routers? Are they good/bad? Do you recommend something else? Thanks for the advice.

Personally, I've always had pretty good luck with Netgear products, and their r7000 router is at the top of SmallNetBuilder's WAN-to-LAN chart.
