This is my system and the GPU is not working anymore (phisically broken due to problems during clean up🥲). I am looking to replace it but since I don't really know much about PC parts I would like some information/advice on what to get.I built the system in 2020 and paid around 900€ for everything and I would say it served me well, I generally don't play triple-A games, maybe some battlefield now and then but I mostly use the PC for MOBA (Dota 2 and study for University). My budget for the new GPU is around 300€, and if possible I would like to squeeze in a little upgrade from the former 590.
Edit: I play at full hd 1920x1080

I am considering these 2 options, but any advice is really welcome:

  1. Gigabyte VGA PCIE16 RX6650XT 8GB GDDR6/GV-R665XTGAM OC-8GD at 290€ amazon
  2. XFX SPEEDSTER QICK308 RADEON RX 7600 at 310€ on amazon

Also, would you mind sharing what are the pros/cons of going with certain manufacturers? For example, if I choose to go with RX 7600 is it better to buy from XFX or Asus or else?

Finally, after changing the GPU what would be my next step to upgrade my build?

Thanks to everyone for taking some time to reply, really appreciate any information on this amazing topic 😀

How much you want to spend, and what is your monitor, this is very impoartant.
Any way, my personal suggestion, 1st, update your bios, then buy R7 5800X3D, Gpu goes AMD's 7900xtx, even the cheapest one would do. Also, get a decent 1000W PSU as well, like ANTEC NE1000G,Gigabyte UD1000GM or any other prestigious brands that come with ATX3.0 and 1000w+, another HyperX FURY Black HX432C16FB3K2/16, a 4K monitor with 4K 144HZ and at least HDR10 and also be quiet! BW007 Pure Loop 280mm aio cooler. Once everything is done, sell your old CPU and GPU to cover some costs tho it might not be too much.

Trust me, this sounds expensive, yet it can last at least 3 to 4 years and allows you play lastest AAA title games without any problem. Not mention that your monitor, your AIO cooler can last very long that even in the future you get your motherboard/cpu and graphic card all replaced you can still use them

What is this piece of trash doing in the system? No new GPU without replacing this garbage group regulated unit.
Could you please elaborate or link me a resource on this topic? I was happy with this PSU at the time of building but I may be missing smth .
I occasionally have had crashes of the GPU when it was still working could this PSU be the cause?
Thank you

Budget is around 300€ and my current monitor is:
Samsung C24RG50 Monitor Gaming Curve, 24 inches, Full HD, FHD, 1920 x 1080, 4 ms, 16:9, 144 Hz, 1080p, FreeSync, 1 Display Port, 2 HDM

Then better give it up mate. Trust me, this kind small upgrade is not worth it at all. Especially when you stay in 1080P.

I suppose you are in France? If possible, find yourself a decent 1080ti, make sure it is not ex mining card. This would do.

Mars Gaming is a fancy brand of Tacens. A manufacturer of cheap and garbage PSUs.
This particular PSU is group regulated, very low quality, has terrible voltage regulation and it's missing essential protections. Not a unit you would use in any system at all.

Could be.

Some or the worst advise I have ever heard.

I have already made my point clear that it either go this much or try not to upgrade.
And also be aware that the op has edited his post on 10:47 PM yesterday while my post is done before that so I am not able to see his budget at the time.
If you made the post a little bit earlier, I will not complain but look at the time tag on your post, I would say that it is nothing but malicious speculation, because I have already made my point clear 1 hour before you made the post.

This is basically telling me to buy a whole new system which is not really what I am looking for, the descrpition stated the budget since the start maybe the fact that the GPU was broken was not 100%clear but anywyas stated.
Anyways thank you for the advice I will may look at ot in a few years whan i will be replacing the PC altoghther

I mean, now it is the last chance to upgrade your current system. Since your MB is still good for 5800X3D. If you are going to wait a few years, better build a whole new system and try to use your current gear for NAS usage.

Xfx is pretty popular brand, people are favoring them over Asus.

Relative performance comparing your Rx590.

6650XT is nearing double the performance. Could go a lesser card or second hand if it means sparing your budget on a new psu. Really should replace power supply as suggested though, for something decent like Corsair CX (mid tier), Rm/Rmx (upper tier) or Super Flower also have decent units. 550w should be enough for either of your mention graphics cards. Usually when psu has 7 or more years of warranty generally means quality. Avoid 1~3 yr units.

If interested in psu replacement but rather shop for something a lil cheaper search power supply tier list 2023 to get you started. Something in tier A or B.

If you do replace psu remember to only use the cables it comes with. Never reuse/mix modular cables from different psus, those cables you plug into the psu, pinouts aren't always the same and risk frying components.

To the person who suggested a new system essentially I get that he edited the post, but just be careful so you don’t end up looking uncaring.

As far as a replacement I’d suggest looking at the rx 6600xt or 6650xt. To save you might look at the rx 6600 non xt.
