Which GPU is better?

The 980 is a better performing card, hence the 140 dollar higher price tag.
However, it is a reference card, which I usually dont recommend.
Personally, I would go for the 970 and spend/save the 140 elsewhere.

As the name would suggest, the 980 is faster, however, I would suggest waiting 3 days and seeing what AMD's Fury GPU has to offer.
