Hi there

I am looking at getting a new graphics card. I've not got a lot of money to spend and have narrowed it down to these 2 cards. I currently have a Asus 970. I am a little confused as to whats better as I am a bit of a novice. Higher Cuda cores and lower clock or Higher Clock and lower Cuda cores. I'll mainly being doing editing with some gaming. Hoping that Demon Souls eventually gets released on PC :D

Here are the 2 cards

GeForce® GTX 1660 Ti WINDFORCE OC 6G

GeForce® GTX 1660 SUPER™ OC 6G
https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N166SOC-6GD#kf

I have an i7 6700k and 8gb 2666DDR4 Ram, expaning to 16gb shorlty.

Thanks for the help

Solution
Yes, in the terms of price. If the price difference is low (<5%), I 'd go for the Ti if I could afford, but the pure FPS difference is 2-3 %. The cards are pretty similar, in most key relations difference is low.

Thank you for your replies people. So the consensus is the Ti wil be the better option. Can you guys provide an insight in to the clock speed and Cuda cores conundrum?

an insight in to the clock speed and Cuda cores conundrum

The most important is the overall effect (game fps) of it all. Talking in general, thesе two hardware numbers are important, but it isn't that simple. You maybе think that measuring by just one thing (Cuda cores/Frequency/Bandwith/Texture rate...) would give you perfect knowledge about all gpus, but it is not that simple. There comes the importance of the architecture, drivers, bus width, VRAM&other needs of the particular game(s) and so on. The FPS, TDP and (most likely) temps of 1660 Ti are overall a bit better than 1660 Super, this is what is the most important 4 you.
