Which Graphic card is better ? Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 D5 6G or MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G

Hello guys ,

because I decided to make my PC wallmounted I also decide to upgrade my specs.
Right now I bought a i7 8700k and a motherboard ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA.

Now I want to buy a gtx 1060 and the difference that I could saw at those 2 graphic cards is the price.

The MSI has higher base and boost clocks in OC mode, but you can probably get that yourself using something like Afterburner or Precision X. If they are the same price, I would go with the MSI card, but if there is a big price difference, I would go with the cheaper of the two.

The chip inside both is made by Nvidia and that is what counts, so you are only paying for cooling a factory overclocking. Both of these cares will provide similar cooling, so the only difference is a higher factory overclock.

I would go with the cheaper of the two. Any difference between memory/gpu clocks is not going to be felt. They both have solid, dual-fan cooling solutions.

I'm not into overclocking anyway so I will go with the Gygabyte the price between them is about 70-80$ the gygabyte one has 20% discount.
