Which graphic card to buy with in $300?(strictly ATI)

hi guys, dis site has been really helpfull to me in many ways without asking a question. But dis time have to coz am really confused.
Am planning to get a graphic card with the range of $300. Need your suggestion to get the best within dat range.

1) ATI radeon hd 6970.
2) ATI radeon hd 6950.
3) ATI radeon hd 6870.

If u guys have better suggestion den dis three cards feel free to post.(strictly ATI)

system rig: > asus m4a88t-m-le
> chipset 880g
> AMD athlon x2 250
> 6gb ram
> windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.

The latest AMD chips come close to the 2500K, actually. The 8150's quite powerful. It's just also hot, power-hungry and overpriced.

anyone who chooses the 8150 over the 2500k based on performance is just plain wrong.

i was referring to games like BF3 were 4 cores is necessary

You have a dual core CPU? Don't bother with that $300 video card upgrade unless you got a quad core CPU upgrade to closely follow. If you care about games, don't buy AMD CPU's.

Don't buy amd cpus if you care about gaming? I game with a 980be and a gtx 570 and i Care about games . Its why i wouldnt recommend a fx processor, but the phenom II line with c3 stepping are quite capable 955 and above.

I didnt claim they were but i wouldnt dismiss the line entirely just because it isn't as fast as Intel. Everyone knows Intel is faster but the p II line isn't inadmissible for gaming.
