using pcie x1 to pcie x16 adaptor wont make your laptop good at rendering, most of the time, cpu power is the one that affects rendering the video, while the gpu render the effects.

If you want to edit video and understand your needs, you might want to look at your budget, i could help with ddr3 cheap builds

Generally, laptops have soldered or no discrete video cards so upgrading is not possible.
