Which Graphics Card is better

Hey guys im ordering an Alienware Area-51 and am not sure which graphics card would be better for me.

Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 980 graphics with 8GB total GDDR5 (2x 4GB) GDDR5 -NVIDIA SLI® Enabled

Or

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX TITAN X with 12GB

Will mainly be using this PC to game on games like Fallout 4 and future Elder Scrolls instalments at hopefully ultra settings. Also I know I could save money by building my own PC but I don't have the time or patience to do that. Thanks for all your help in advance!!

It depends on the resolution you are playing at.

For 1080p = Best Card you will ever need is GTX 970

For 1440p = Best Card you will ever need is GTX 980

For 4K = GTX 980 Ti (Titan X is much more expensive and doesnt give you a big boost in performance because OC 980 Ti = Stock Titan X)

Regarding your question 980s will be faster but the X has a lot of ram to play at 4K. Either option will be good I prefer single cards.

Thanks for your answer man why is it you prefer single cards ? Ill probably go for the Titan since 4k gaming is something id like to experience

If you want 4K get 980 Ti (OC 980 Ti = Stock Titan X) and overclock it, you will save more money, and you will save more time because liquid cooling for Titan is a yes where as 980 Ti has custon coolers
