So here is the thing, I am a noob when it comes to building computers or information about it. I just upgraded everything but my graphics card. I currently have Nvidia GTX 460. It still works after 5 years.. but I think I need a new one soon. Nvidia doesn't wanna update anymore, when I update it, it says it failed and it gives me standard screen resolutions when I have 1920x1080.. It has been doing this since I upgraded my computer.. Now this little story comes in later with another question: Do I need to delete Nvidia updates before installing my new card? And will it give me the same problems I have now if i upgrade it?

The main question is.. which graphics card fits best with my computer? I am a gamer.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 - 6700 CPU @ 3,40 GHz
RAM: 16GB

(( Let me know what else you need to know! And how I can find it, like I said.. I am a noob when it comes to these things ))

And another question! If I get a new graphics card.. do I need to order anything else? And is there something I can expect? Or it is popping the old one out, putting the new one in, install drivers and done? Thank you!

GTX 1060 3GB is about 200 euro. it is way more powerful that GTX 960.
Even if not yet due to availability, it will be 200 in a couple of weeks.
here is an example of 215 euro.

the GTX 960 is 170 euro, it's not worth it. save if you must, just don't waste your money on card that will not...
pretty much you just uninstall the old drivers, take out the old card, and then put in the new card and get new drivers. sometimes you do not even need to uninstall the old ones. what is your power supply and what kind of gaming do you want to do? technically anything from a GTX 750ti to a Titan XP would work just fine.

My budget isn't that.. high. Let's say 200? I found ASUS STRIX GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5 for 199,- euros in my country. Would this be a good one?
I would have to open my case tomorrow or later today, if that's ok. I can't see it from where i am at. And gaming would be shooting, survival etc. For example the game Lifeless.

Here is a picture I found on the internet of it. I recognize it.

what a crap...
it runs same as 6GB. in some games, you may just lower a bit texture or shadow quality to high.

Because.. it's the one I can effort. ^^' I want to stick with Nvidia cause I know it.. and I can't effort more than 200,- euros unless i save up some more.. But my graphics card is already 5 years old. It doesnt give me troubles (YET) besides not being able to update. If it breaks.. I wanna know which cards is best for me to get.

Check out on YouTube test results of the 6 vs 3 GB. Most of the games perform near to the 6GB version and only in certain games the frame rate is reduced too low than expectations. I've not benchmarked them. I told what I've seen in the video.
