Which version of the GTX 960 cards do you think is best? I'm pretty certain I'll be going for the EVGA version but I'm open to hearing your suggestions as to why you would/wouldn't buy the other models. Not going to be overclocking that much, I won't be playing new games as I'll use my console for games like that.

Don't bang on about the R9 280x either, lets keep it about the GTX 960.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Buy the MSI. You are going to need those extra gigs of vram if you want to keep the card longer than a year, because soon games are going to require 2gb vram as a minimum, and 4gb is ideal if you want to bump up a few settings when playing with playable framerates.

really? the 100ME as half the vram, worse cooling and doesnt include witcher 3, seems like a bad deal. Its the 4g edition (the red cooler) thats the best.

It is not better. the 100ME is the inferior and cheaper version of the 4g. the 4g has the twinfrozr design, 4GB vram and is cherry picked for best overclocking results. Its worth the 10 bucks extra.

MSI. EVGA cards are noisier and hotter than the MSI cards. Its the reason I went for MSI when buying my card (gtx 970). Of course, when I bought mine, the only evga card available was the ACX 1.0 which had horrible fan and noise issues, which cooler does the evga card you are looking at have?

I'll look at the MSI 4gb instead then, not because I want to play up and coming games on this build because as I said, I'll be playing games such as Witcher 3, AC:U, BF Hardline, Farcry 4 etc all on my Xbox so more VRAM is more of a safety net rather than a requirement.

Thanks everyone for the speedy and great replies!
