I just modded my Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming bios by adding zero spin feature. And I must say that now it's the best card around. Very cold under load when fan is spinning, and completely unaudiable when fan is off (I set threshold to 58c). Before the mod fan was spinning at around 1600rpm all the time (or faster under load) which was a bit annoyng. I have no idea why Gigabyte didn't make it this way since it makes the great card even greater :)

How did you do that?

Recently I read that EVGA just released patched vbios for their GTX970 with zero spin feature, so I thought that if it's only a matter of vbios then maybe it can be done for Gigabyte too, so I simply extracted vbios from the card, edited fan parameters and few more things by the way like higher clocks and bigger boost limit. After flashing it back it turned out to work perfectly. Funny thing is that whole operation took me around 7 minuts and Gigabyte didn't do it until now, Sorry for my English, I'm from Poland so I'm not native speaker.

its ok i understand now how it works , great thing thank you very much
