So I've got the arctic liquid freezer III AIO and it comes with these cables:

I assume it would be better to use the one on the right but I think the left one would be better for aesthetics/cable management so I'm considering that one. My motherboard is the Gigabyte Z790 UD AC. Looking at the manual, there's 3 fan headers at the top.

Should I put the FAN (Radiator Fan) into the CPU_FAN Socket, the VRM fan into the SYS_FAN1 socket, and the Pump fan into the CPU_OPT socket? Here is the explanation for each socket from the manual.

CPU_FAN with the AIO cable to the left but I'd also opt for the harness to the right to gain granular control of the AIO, if the board has the provision within BIOS to set the CPU_OPT header to behave as if it was a pump header.

Play it safe and go with the harness to the left and hook it up to CPU_FAN.

Your second URL doesn't work for me.

yes, if you want individual control of all three aspects.

keep the pump at or near 100%.

and those VRM fans can be rather loud, so being able to individually control will help keep it's RPMs down and noise in check if necessary.
