I want to buy some good computer for some gaming and common use
I have two options one is core 2 quad q6600,or q9550

or some good core i5

which one you think is best

The i-series of processor's are Intel's latest and greatest.

The i5-2500k being a popular choice due to its over-clocking capability and great value for money.

Core 2 Quads still remain expensive since the supplies are running low. They're good CPUs, but you can get a much more powerful i5 for less. There's only point in getting a Core 2 Quad if you have a REALLY good deal on it (like, $100-150 or something) and you can't afford to upgrade your LGA 775 mobo.

*Sigh*... Core 2 Quads are so mysterious... I've never even seen one
