Which is best to buy and future proof?

I'm thinking of buying gtx 1060, i know that 6gb version is 5% better than 3gb. Is it worth to buy the 3gb one? And is 3gb future proof like 6gb?

Of course 6 GB is more future proof mate. Newer games require more VRAM so go with the 6 GB version.

If you have the extra cash i would go with the 6gb version. that will last a few years, but if you want something a bit more future proof i would go with a 1070. but for right now the 6gb 1060 will do great and last a while, the 3 gb version will let you down pretty soon..
