Which is better for Minecraft and first person shooting

I cant choose between AMD and Intel processor for minecraft and games like black ops 2. I have the money for a i5 or a good AMD but which will work better and give me the performance that I wish for.

If you have the money for an Intel Platform, go that route. It has a better upgrade path and generally faster at all gaming.

Intel. But it depends mostly on what GPU you can buy. If you can buy a AMD 8320 and a GTX 970 vs. an Intel i5 and a GTX 960, then AMD would be the way to go.
