Which is better?

So I either want a new CPU or GPU. My current system is: GTX 970, I5 4460, Would I bottleneck if I upgraded to a GTX 1070?
Also which is better?
GTX 970 + I7 4790K
or
GTX 1070 + I5 4460

I would get the 1070 and try holding off for a 6 core cannon lake Coming 4ty quarter.

There are two main points I will make regarding your quewtion. If you are gaming, the i5 with the 1070 will be a good combo. You shouldn't experience any bottlenecks but if there are any will be nominal such as 1 or 2 frames. If you are doing photoshop or video editing in addition to gaming than the i7 will be great. But if you are only gaming, save some money and go the i5 route.
