The CPU alone does not do you much good,,,; which one you get determines which chipset/type of mainboard and RAM you must have....

Please tell me you are not referring to the entire computer as a 'cpu', and hoping to find one for $50?

Honestly, any cpu that is $40-$50 is not a gaming cpu, but an extreme budget normal cpu. By spending a bit more and getting a ryzen 5 2400G(which has great integrated graphics) or a ryzen 1600 AF(which has no integrated graphics but the cpu performance is better), you can have a decent gaming cpu.
