Which is the better router?

I've been trying to upgrade my networking equipment and get rid of the comcast modem/router combo. I'm getting the router as of right now and I was hoping anyone who has either of these two router, or anyone more knowledgeable then me could help me pick the better one? Theses are the 2 I've been looking at, NETGEAR AC1750 Smart Wi-Fi Router, 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit (R6400-100NAS) & ASUS RT-AC66U Dual-Band Wireless-AC1750 Gigabit Router. I am trying to stream games from my PC to a Nvidia shield console downstairs. I usually have at least 2 to 4 devices streaming or browsing the internet. Hoping that info will help a little as well. As I mentioned I'm just purchasing the router first and going to use the Comcast combo as my modem until I have the funds available to get the modem as well. When I can get the modem I plan on getting one of the Motorola surfboards if anyone could also recommend the best modem to go with one of these routers. Thanks.

For routers, there is a site that specializes on anything you could want in networking. The Asus model gets good reviews for performance and value . But the Netgear AC1750 is a top performer according to the Small Net Builder web site.

I'm definitely going to check it out, I appreciate it. I got that Nvidia shield console as a gift and the Comcast router is not hacking it. I started researching on networking and finally all the numbers and letters started making sense. I'd like to learn as much as I can about it, so if you have any more links that would be helpful in general or even a book or two that could help, please send the info. Thanks!
