So my current laptop's hard disk is failing and it is getting worse. I bought it in 2014 and still in good condition apart from the hard disk. So here are two laptops I came across. Any suggestions which one is better?

The first one is a dell.. including the link: https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/del...-15/spd/xps-15-9570-laptop/nxps1570_bt_s1608e

8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-8750H Processor

Windows 10 Home 64bit English

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050Ti 4GB GDDR5

16GB 2x8GB DDR4-2666MHz,

M.2 512GB 2280 PCIe Solid State Drive

for $1,899(taxes not included)

And the second is an Acer: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/acer-n...7-8750h-notebooks-an515-53-741e/6000198572585

• Processor: Intel Core I7 8750H
• RAM: 16GB DDR4
• Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Up to 4 GB GDDR5 Dedicated graphics
• Additional Media: SD Card
• Hard Drive: 1000GB HDD
• Operating System: Windows 10 - English
• Optical Drive: 128GB SSD
• Number & Type of Ports: 1x USB 3.0; 2x USB 2.0; Network (RJ-45); HDMI Output; 1x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C
• Wireless Connectivity: 802.11ac wireless LAN+ BT
• Warranty: 1 Year Warranty

for $1,399(taxes not included)

all prices are in Canadian dollar.

The dell is is lighter and the acer is heavier. Also the dell one doesn't mention how fast is the processor. It only mentions that it is upto 4.1 GHz.

While acer is 2.2 GHz.

So which one seems better... any suggestions?

Better in what particular way? What is your criteria for selection?

The CPUs are the same, which is true of the GPU too.

Same amount of RAM, but even Acer's website doesn't mention the frequency so it's an unknown point of comparison.

The Acer has more storage space, but uses a SATA SSD compared to the Dell's NVMe SSD. Also Dell's SSD has a higher capacity.
