Which laptop should I get for $1K??

I have a 1000$ budget, and I want a gaming laptop.
Building a desktop is not an option for me, since I will be needing to take it places (like on vacation)
Here are my requirements:
-Decent dedicated GPU. Around the GTX 860M and higher
-17" screen, if possible (but 15" is fine)
-At least 1080p
-Customizable keyboard backlight (like the keyboard on some MSI laptops)
I've been looking at the MSI GE70 Apache Pro-061 (here), but is the 2GB of VRAM going to be enough for future games? Thanks for any help!

2GB is a good fit for your budget. A 4GB GTX 860m wouldn't make sense anyway, as the card wouldn't be strong enough to smoothly run a game that could even use that much VRAM.

The MSI Apache you've chosen is a good option.
