Hello Everyone,

I have recently bought a MSI MEG x570 ACE. It has 3 slots for M.2.

I am pretty new to M.2s and haven't put too much time in researching more information about them. I just want to make sure that I don't mess up and get the wrong one. I have noticed there are M.2 sticks with "NVMe" on them. I am not sure if that effects compatibility. I also notice there is a difference in size and some that come with or without heat sinks.

Will appreciate any feedback!

Solution
M.2 is a form factor, there's multiple kinds of M.2 drives. NVMe is probably what you want and will work in all three of your board's sockets (the other type, SATA, would work in two of the three). See my resources for more.

Awesome thanks for the info! Now is there a difference in actual size of the M.2 drives? Like the ones that are 3 inches vs 4inches? Or does that have to do with the form factor?

Much appreciated for the resource guide, lots of good info there!
