Hello,
here’s my build
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/bdRkgw
CPU will probably change depending on the intel 9 gen rumoured 1st August.
will get a gtx 11something once they are released later this year.

I was recommended the ASROCK K6 motherboard, but it seems to focus on points where I don’t really need such as overclocking.

now I am thinking of overclocking but maybe 5 years down the road, not currently, and it won’t be major overclocking, only slight to keep my cpu up to date for next 8 years or so before I upgrade (I’m building a futerproof system)

ive been looking at the gigabyte Aorus gaming 7, as it has a lot of features I like, however it is quite expensive and I would prefer to go cheaper, also been told that Aorus are bad mobo’s.

Other boards I’ve been thinking of is a msi carbon one and ASUS Z370-f

things that are important to me:
RGB (honestly I don’t even know why, brings out my inner child)
Wear and tear (must have quality components such as capacitors that won’t blow and will last a while)
Sound, I’m somewhat audiophile and actually sold my A&K DAC to afford this so it needs to have somewhat decent sound.
price (ideally around £140, but can stretch to £250 MAX if it’s really definitely worth it.)

I look forward to your replies.
TT

Well I used an Asus Prime-A board for a customers build and it wouldn't run the G.Skill RAM at its rated 3200MHz C16, I had to increase CAS to C17. Was a bummer, but don't know for sure if it was the RAM or the board.

Other than that, I don't know much about the Asus boards, but most people say they do make the best boards.

Good, but are they the best? What makes these better than the ASROCK K6?

Well, the Extreme4 seems to have every bit of the quality that the K6 has for a smaller price. But the K6 does linclude 3-way SLI, nobody really uses SLI anymore though, especially not 3-way. So, it's not better just better priced. If you like the K6 it's a good board.

What would you say about ASUS Z370 F, I’ve been told it’s possibly ‘the best board ever’, and how does it compare to the K6/Extreme 4 and Aorus gaming 6, speaking to you if you know or anyone reading.
